Register to Vote

Did you know that you can register to vote in Hawaii if you are 16 years old? You cannot vote until you are 18, but you can register!

Join the Hawaii Democratic Party

Hawaii has an open primary system. This means that you may choose the Democratic ballot in a primary election, whether or not you are a member of the Hawaii Democratic Party. However, in order to vote in the Hawaii Democratic Caucus, you must be a member of the party.

To join our party, you need to (1) be a registered voter and (2) fill out a party membership card. Download the membership card here (PDF). Mail the completed card to:

For the 2010 elections, District 40 Precinct 6 has been combined with Precinct 5. Voters who used to vote at Makakilo Community Park will now vote at the Precinct 5 location (Mauka Lani Elementary).
